Help! I want to add an artist/song, but I don't know how

This is a fantastic site with so much potential. Thanks to all those contributing.

I was wondering if the users who are writing tabs for Christian songs would consider contributing to a Christian wiki website called WikiChristian. This may be too much to ask given that it would take quite a lot of time, but it would be great if all the song information here could somehow be added to WikiChristian. WikiChristian is not specifically a music website; it is a wiki site that aims to encompass all aspects of Christianity, including its music. It is at www.wikichristian.org; it currently has a reasonably large music collection which can be found at Christian art, literature and music. It has a broad purpose - some of the purposes of its music section include

• Contain information about the history of Christian music and information about different music styles - see An overview of Christian music history and styles
• Contain information about each Christian song-writer - see Song writers
• Contain the lyrics and if possible the sheet music / guitar chords for each Christian song ever written - see Song information and lyrics
• Contain personal reviews about different songs or albumns

For an example, see Darlene Zscech's song Shout to the Lord.

It would be wonderful if a copy of all the Christian music on tabwiki could be copied to WikiChristian. Of course, it may be too much work, but if anyone has the time and inclination, that would be great. --Muser 22:05, 27 Dec 2005 (EST)

Good Idea! WikiChristian and TabWiki would make a good team for sure! Here the problem though, if all the tabs were duplicated on WikiChristian it would mean that when someone corrected a tab on WikiChristian it would still be wrong on TabWiki, which doesn't help anyone. What if wikichristian linked to tabwiki for it's tabs in it's music section or something? would that work for what your trying to do?? Also, it might be good if TabWiki did the same for all the songs on WikiChristian (linking to them that is) as they seem to have a sizable collection going. --Diploid 23:16, 27 Dec 2005 (EST)

Linking from WikiChristian to the tabs here makes a lot of sense. It kind of feels nice to have everything in one site, but I think you're probably right, in makes practical sense to link into TabWiki from WikiChristian. Thanks for the good advice. --Muser 23:54, 30 Dec 2005 (EST)
