Basic open chords

These are Basic chords every novice guitarist should learn and remember, and are used widely in many songs. All chords are based from a key note (where playing should start) and other notes usually end in the lower E string

"x" - is anote that is fretted "o" - is a key note (and is also fretted and played)

The numbers indicate the fret positions, 0 is an open string. The chords are shown under a standard 6-String Guitar tuning "eGBDAE"

"F" could also be made a barre chord in the same guitar positon (almost a same pitch), many guitarists find the 
Barre version easier.
