Tuning

Flat Tuning (or Half Step Down/Eb tuning) is, from low to high, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb. It is Standard Tuning down half a step. On a tuner it will not look Like Eb Ab Db Gb Bb eb it will look like D# G# C# F# A# D#.

Common Chord Shapes

Also see Chords.

Since the strings are tuned the same relative to Standard Tuning, all standard chord shapes apply, with the difference that they are a half step lower. When you play an A chord shape, for example, you are really playing an Ab.
